I just finished two seminars on the Ultimate Women’s Expo where I covered the Truth About Fitness and Diets Make You fat.  The theme of the expo is New Year/New You.  I think fitness and dieting fit in there pretty well. It was awesome to be invited onto the show.  They have plenty more shows coming up that will encourage and uplift you.  I don’t know how  many women were actually on the radio show, but it sure felt good to speak the true, hard facts about fat loss without all the fluff that is so common in the media today. I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter celebration yesterday. My family enjoyed a wonderful service, church breakfast, Easter dinner and later in the evening, a flashlight egg hunt. In between church and our egg hunt, I was able to get into my garden to clear it out for Spring planting. I had let the garden get overrun with weeds last year after a really bad hail storm (softball sized hail ripped my plants apart). I lost a lot of plants last year and didn’t have the heart to get back in the garden to clean it up. After 4 wheelbarrow trips to the back of the property to deposit debris and dead plants, it is ready to plant. I like square foot gardening because it is so easy to take care of. For me, I don’t have a lot of time to spend on the garden due to running boot camps and homeschooling. Easy is best for me right now. So many institutions grant the public “free” access to archives, but what if—as an ordinary citizen—you can’t even find the door? This talk will consider barriers to information, how such obstacles may exacerbate the environmental crisis, and what newspapers can do that many resources cannot to help unlock knowledge for those who need it most.Kerri Arsenault is a literary critic, co-director of The Environmental Storytelling Studio at Brown University, contributing editor at Orion magazine, and author of Mill Town: Reckoning with What Remains (2020), which won the Rachel Carson Environmental Book Award (2021) and the Maine Literary Award for Nonfiction (2021) and was a finalist for the Connecticut Humanities Book Award for Nonfiction (2021). If so, getting some physical exercise is important to burn off some of that energy! Let’s look at some traditional and not-so-traditional ideas of ways to keep active during the long winter season....

Here are some ways to take your homeschool outside, adapt your homeschool schedule to allow for outside time, and plan your schoolwork based on outdoor time.
